NEONATAL ULTRASOUND LUMBOSACRAL SPINE - Normal

Clinical information:

Findings:

The cord terminates at T12 with a normal appearing conus. The cauda equina and filum terminalis are normal and freely mobile. No evidence of tethering is seen.

The posterior bony structures are within normal limits with no evidence of dysraphism. No evidence of a cyst/mass, meningocele, lipoma or sinus tract is identified.

The sacral cartilage is within normal limits.

Conclusion:

Normal neonatal lumbosacral spine ultrasound.

ULTRASOUND - PEDIATRIC RENAL - NORMAL

Findings:

Both kidneys have a normal size and shape with smooth contour and normal echotexture for age. The central echogenic complexes have a normal appearance with no hydronephrosis. The right kidney measures __cm, the left kidney __cm. This is within the 95% predicted limit for age.

The adrenals are identified and appear normal.

The bladder has a normal appearance with no wall thickening. Both ureteric jets are seen. The pre-micturition volume is __mL, post-micturition __mL.

Conclusion:

Normal renal ultrasound.

Findings:

Normal intracranial anatomy is demonstrated. The sulcal/gyral pattern has a normal appearance for age and there is no midline shift. The midline structures are unremarkable. Normal parenchymal echogenicity is seen.

The choroid and caudo-thalamic grooves have a normal appearance. The ventricles and sulcal spaces have a normal appearance.

Conclusion:

Normal head ultrasound.

Findings:

The pancreas is well visualised and has a normal size, shape and echotexture, with no duct dilation.

The liver is of normal size, shape and echotexture with no intrahepatic duct dilation or focal lesion seen. The portal vein measures ___ mm with normal flow.

The gallbladder is normal with a wall thickness of ___ mm. No gallstones, polyps or sludge are seen and the patient is sonographic Murphy’s negative. The CBD measures ___ mm.

Both kidneys are of normal size and shape with smooth contour and normal cortical echotexture. The central echogenic complexes have a normal appearance with no hydronephrosis. The right kidney measures ___ cm, the left ___ cm.

The spleen is of normal size, shape and echotexture with a diameter of ___ cm.

The aorta has a normal appearance with a diameter of ___ cm.

The common femoral, superficial femoral and popliteal veins in the ____ lower limb all show normal flow, compression and augmentation.

The anterior tibial, posterior tibial and peroneal veins all show flow and augmentation with no evidence of thrombus.

Conclusion:

Normal ____ Doppler lower limb ultrasound. No evidence of thrombus is seen.

BILATERAL LOWER LIMB VENOUS DOPPLER ULTRASOUND
