CT Neck Vessels – Normal

NORMAL CT NECK VESSELS and CIRCLE OF WILLIS

Clinical Information:

Technique:

Fine slice post IV contrast helical CT images were obtained from the aortic arch to the vertex of the skull. Soft tissue and bone windows were reconstructed.

Comparison:

Findings:

Vessels:

The aortic arch has a normal appearance with conventional anatomy and no atheromatous change.

The common carotids, carotid bulbs, internal carotid and external carotid arteries have a normal appearance. No evidence of atheroma, stenosis, aneurysm or dissection is seen.

The jugular veins are normal.

The Circle of Willis is normal with conventional anatomy. No evidence of stenosis or aneurysm is seen.

The dural venous sinuses are normal.

Neck:

The muscles and tendons of the neck are within normal limits. The neck compartments are well demarcated with no evidence of mass lesion. The parapharyngeal fat space is normal.

The pharyngeal and glottic regions are normal. The parotid, submandibular and thyroid glands are normal.

There is no lymphadenopathy. The lung apices are clear.

No bony abnormality is seen. The craniocervical junction and spinal canal appear patent.

Head:

No intra or extra-axial mass lesion or collection is identified. The ventricles and sulcal spaces are within normal limits for age and the midline structures are normal. There is no midline shift.

The orbits, paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are clear. No bony abnormality is seen.

Conclusion:

Normal CT neck vessels and Circle of Willis.

Findings:

The common carotids, internal and external carotids have a normal appearance. No evidence of plaque, stenosis or dilation is seen. No spectral broadening, acceleration or deceleration is seen.

Lower Limb Venous Ultrasound

LOWER LIMB VENOUS DOPPLER ULTRASOUND

Clinical information:

Findings:

The common femoral, superficial femoral and popliteal veins in the ____ lower limb all show normal flow, compression and augmentation.

The anterior tibial, posterior tibial and peroneal veins all show flow and augmentation with no evidence of thrombus.

Conclusion:

Normal ____ Doppler lower limb ultrasound. No evidence of thrombus is seen.

BILATERAL LOWER LIMB VENOUS DOPPLER ULTRASOUND

Clinical information:

Findings:

The common femoral, superficial femoral and popliteal veins in both lower limbs all show normal flow, compression and augmentation.

The anterior tibial, posterior tibial and peroneal veins all show flow and augmentation with no evidence of thrombus.

Conclusion:

Normal bilateral Doppler lower limb ultrasound. No evidence of thrombus is seen.

LOWER LIMB VENOUS DOPPLER ULTRASOUND (plus SSV and Gastroc)

Clinical information:

Findings:

The common femoral, superficial femoral and popliteal veins in the ____ lower limb all show normal flow, compression and augmentation.

The anterior tibial, posterior tibial, peroneal, short saphenous and gastrocemus veins all show flow and augmentation with no evidence of thrombus.

Conclusion:

Normal ____ Doppler lower limb ultrasound. No evidence of thrombus is seen.

BILATERAL LOWER LIMB VENOUS DOPPLER ULTRASOUND (plus SSV and Gastroc)

Normal CT Pulmonary Angiogram

NORMAL CT PULMONARY ANGIOGRAM

Clinical Information:

Technique:

Fine slice pulmonary artery phase helical CT images were obtained from the lung apices to the lung bases. Mediastinal and lung windows were reconstructed.

Comparison:

Findings:

The pulmonary arteries have a normal appearance with no fillings defects to suggest a pulmonary embolus.

The heart, great vessels, trachea and oesophagus have a normal appearance. There is no lymphadenopathy.

The bronchi are normal, as is the pulmonary parenchyma. The pleural spaces are clear.

The upper abdominal solid organs and bowel have a normal arterial phase appearance within the field of view.

No bony abnormality is identified.

Conclusion:

Normal CT Pulmonary Angiogram.
