Technique:

Imaging of the [left|right|both] brachial plexus was performed according to brachial plexus protocol which includes multiplanar anatomic and 3-D NerveVIEW sequences.

Findings:

Spinal cord:

The cord has a normal volume and signal

Brachial plexus:

  • Trunks:       normal
  • Divisions:   normal
  • Cords:        normal
  • Branches:   normal

Muscles:

The scalene muscles have a normal appearance. The visualised rotator cuff muscles and chest wall are normal.

Bones:

The vertebral bodies and discs are of normal height with no malalignment. No significant disc bulges are identified. The neural exit foramina are widely patent.

No cervical rib or other vertebral anomaly is identified.

Thoracic Outlet:

The scalene triangle is normal, as is the costoclavicular space and pectoralis minor. No fibrous band or mass lesion is identified.

Vascular structures:

No evidence of vascular compression or other vascular abnormality is seen.

Clinical Information:

 

Technique:

MR Enterography was performed according to department protocol. Cine imaging and dynamic post contrast imaging of the bowel was also performed.

Findings:

Study Quality:

The bowel is well demonstrated, with good distribution of contrast and bowel distention.

Bowel:

There is no evidence of bowel wall thickening or oedema. No abnormal fat is seen in the bowel wall. There is normal small bowel plica circulares and colonic haustral patterning

Cine imaging demonstrates normal peristalsis.

There is no abnormal bowel wall enhancement in arterial, portal venous or delayed imaging. No restricted diffusion is seen. No ulceration is identified.

There is no evidence of penetrating disease. No fistula or abscess is identified.

There are no foci of stenosis or stricture. No dilated bowel or transition zone is identified.

Extraenteric assessment:

The small and large bowel mesenteric fat is normal, as is the omentum. No lymphadenopathy is seen.

Perianal disease:

No perianal disease is identified.

Bones and other soft tissues:

There is no evidence of sacroiliitis or sclerosing cholangitis. The liver, spleen, pancreas, adrenals and kidneys have a normal appearance. The lung bases and abdominal wall are normal.

MVA. 

Technique:

Sagittal T1, T2 and TIRM imaging was obtained through the entire spine, as well as axial T1 and T2 weighted imaging.

Findings:

The vertebral bodies and discs are of normal height with no malalignment. The marrow and disc signal is normal.

The craniocervical junction is normal.

The spinal canal is normal. The cord and conus are unremarkable, as is the cauda equina. The cord terminates at T12/L1.

The lateral recesses and neural exit foramina are widely patent. The facet joints have a normal appearance. No paravertebral abnormality is identified.

The ALL, PLL, ligamentum flavum, interspinous and posterior spinous ligaments appear intact.

Conclusion:

Technique:

Multiplanar, multisequence MRI of the cerebellopontine angle was performed without and with IV contrast including high-resolution images through the course of both VII and VIII cranial nerves.

Comparison:

Findings:

There is no focal brain parenchymal signal abnormality. In particular, the midbrain and brainstem are normal.

The external acoustic canal, middle ear, vestibular-cochlear apparatus and internal acoustic canals have a normal appearance.

The facial and vestibulocochlear nerves have a normal appearance, with no focal lesion, signal abnormality or abnormal enhancement.

The geniculate ganglion, cochlear component and descending bony component of the facial nerve have a normal appearance bilaterally.

The trigeminal and abducens nerves have a normal appearance.

No high signal is seen in the mastoid air cells or middle ear to indicate fluid.

Conclusion:

Normal MRI of the brain and cerebellopontine angle. No cause for sensorineural hearing loss is identified.

Clinical Information:

 

Technique:

Multiplane PD, PD fat sat and T1 images were obtained through the ____ shoulder.

Comparison:

Findings:

Rotator Cuff:  The supraspinatus, infraspinatus, subscapularis and teres minor tendons have a normal appearance with no evidence of tear or tendinopathy

Muscles:  The rotator cuff muscles are normal, as is the deltoid musculature.

Biceps:  The long head of biceps tendon and biceps anchor are normal. The tendon is normally located in the bicipital groove. There is no evidence of synovitis. The short head of biceps is normal, with unremarkable coracoid process.

Rotator Cuff Interval:  Normal, with no thickening of the soft tissue or abnormality of the coracoclavicular or coracohumeral ligaments. The intra-articular component of the long head of biceps is normal.

Subacromial/Subdeltoid Bursa:  No evidence of bursitis is seen.

Acromion/AC joint:  There is a type 2 acromion. The acromioclavicular joint has a normal appearance with no inflammation or degenerative change.

Glenohumeral Joint/Labrum:  The glenoid labrum has a normal appearance, as does the glenoid and humeral head cartilage. The glenohumeral ligaments are unremarkable. The capsule has a normal appearance. No loose bodies are identified.

Bone Marrow:  No abnormal bone marrow signal is seen.

Conclusion:
